BLUE - Border Collie, male, adopted age 3 years approx, medium size.
In November 2008 we came to Binfield dog rescue and saw Blue, we fell in love with
him instantly but unfortunately the previous owners had told a few porkies about him
and as such we left him at the rescue as we were told he was not good with children.
Every day after that I kept looking on Binfield's website to see if he was still
there and he was, I couldn't get him out of my head and as such on the 28th of
December 2008 we went back with our son to see how Blue was with him. He came out
wagging his tail and was the loveliest dog you could ever imagine, we knew there and
then he had to come home with us and he did.
As it turned out we were his 3rd home and he was only just 3 years old, He has given
a lot of love to our family over the last three years and he is already terribly
missed. He loved playing with his ball and loved nothing more than a long run
chasing the ball around. He made a friend for life in our parents dog Diesel when we
went over there they couldn't be separated. He slept upstairs on the bed with us
every night and loved cuddles and playing with his toys.
Sadly in October 2011 he was diagnosed with severe epilepsy the vets tried in vain
to keep him under control but on the 22nd November 2011 he had a final Large
seizure and unfortunately this was too much for him. As hard as it was we felt it
kinder to send him over Rainbow Bridge. I know he is now up there wagging his tail
and playing with his ball.
Thank you Binfield for giving us our boy, we had 3 wonderful years with him.
